Not sure what you are asking, but:
-y = -ln x + 2
2+y = ln x
e^(2+y) = e^(ln x)
e^(2+y) = x
ln is the 'natural logarithm' based on e LOG is the base 10 logarithm.
Guest's question displays as several graphs when I look at it.....And Hecticar's answer displays OK too...
Adult tickets = 2/(2+7) = 2/9 of all tickets
2/9 x = 92
x = 414 total tickets sold
For every 20 people 19 are students and 1 is a teacher.....or 19/20 are students
A 100 x 19/20 = 95 students
B etc etc
8 out of 15 ( 7 + 8) is time in slides
8/15 x 90 minutes = time spent in slides.....
I'm glad this is OBVIOUSLY a MATH forum because that sentence would get an 'F' in English class.
Not QUITE correct Guest ....
8x > 4(x+1)
8x > 4x + 4
4x > 4
x > 1 Since it is an interger set we are looking for and 'x' must be greater than 1 ..... so 'x' = 2 and the other number is 3
Here is a graph of log x
1 true
2 true
3 false
4 true
Amount of solution A = x
B = 10 - x
x (.2) + (10-x)(.04) = 10 (.08)
.2x + .4 -.04x = .8
.16x = .4
x = 2.5 oz = amount of A (10-2.5) = B = 7.5 oz
Gradient is the same thing as slope
The equation for slope is rise/run= (y1-y2) / (x1-x2) = (a-1) / (4-8) = 3/4 now solve for 'a'
a-1 = -3
a= -2
