84000000/4 x 10^12

\(\large \frac{84 \cdot 10^{6}}{4} \cdot 10^{12}=21 \cdot 10^{18}\)

\(\large \frac{84 \cdot 10^6}{4 \cdot 10^{12}}=21 \cdot 10^{-6}=0.000\ 021\)

What is correct? Please use brackets.

Many of us on the forum (I think including YOU) had this discussion a few months ago and decided this representation was rather ambiguous, but most agreed it is

[(8.4 x 10^7)/4] x 10^12     so your first solution is the one considered correct by most of us and most calculators too......     use brackets to be clear !!!
