x-8y=-56 if you guys can give me one example i could do the rest. Find the slope intercept
I'd change it to 8y=x+56. Then (since it's terrible to have a number in front of y) I'd divide the whole equation by 8. Now the equation is y=(1/8)x+7. The slope is always in front of x, which is (1/8). The y-intercept is the lonely number, which is 8. I hope this helps! :)
Hi Z
Anon make mistakes.
x-8y=-56
Rewrite it like this in slope intercept form
-8y = -56 - x
8y = 56 + x
Y= 7 + x/8
Y = x/8 + 7
y = 0.125x + 7
The slope is 0.125
The slope intercept is +7 This means the line cross the y at +7
I think this is right but one of the mods should check.
x - 8y = -56 let's put it in this form.....
8y = x + 56 divide both sides by 8
y = (1/8)x + 7
So...the slope is (1/8) and the y intercept is just (0, 7)....just as Dragonlance found !!!!
