(x - 2) / 3  +  (x + 5) / 2   =  1/3          multiply through by the common denominator of 2, 3  = 6

2 (x -2)  + 3( x + 5)  =  2          simplify

2x  - 4  + 3x + 15  = 2             combine like terms

5x + 11  = 2                          subtract 11 from  both sides

5x  =  - 9                            divide both sides by 5

x = -9 / 5
