a). Find the specified function values for the following polynomials:

1. Q(t) = 9t3 + 8t2 - 4t - 9

Find Q(-3), Q(-1) and Q(-b)

We're just plugging in values of \(t.\)

(a): \(9(-3)^3+8(-3)^2-4(-3)-9=-168.\)

So, just plug the values of \(t\), listed in your question, like how I solved it!

Uh, Dude? I did what you said to solve the problem but it gave me a different answer which was -168. I think you did something wrong.

Rick, it appears as if tertre's slight typo has caused an askew answer.

The original function was defined as \(Q(t)=9t^3+8t^2-4t-9\). Unfortunately, terte evaluated the function as \(Q(t)=9t^{\textcolor{red}{2}}+8t^2-4t-9\). What a tragic error!

Continue evaluating the function at \(Q(-1)\text{ and }Q(-b)\), and you will be done quite soon.

**OOPS, I know you have told me to call you Rick in future posts.**
