Using the slope formula, if y = -46, slope is 6, and the y-intercept is -13, solve for x.

OK....so we have this

 

-46 =  6x -13          add 13 to both sides

-33 = 6x                divide both sides by 6

 

-33 / 6  = x  =  - 11 / 2 =  -5.5
