D+D=12

D=6

C+C=10

C=5

If C=5, then 2B either equals 9 or 19. I don't know if you wrote the question right, since B either equals 4.5 or 19?

If you get rid of the "positive", and they are simply nonnegative, then it's possible:

D=6

B=0

C=0

A=2

A+B+C+D=8

Correct me if I'm wrong though
