A \(12^{\prime \prime}\)-diameter pizza and a \(16^{\prime \prime} \) -diameter pizza are each cut into eight congruent slices. Jane ate three slices of the \(12^{\prime \prime}\)  pizza. Mark ate three slices of the \(16^{\prime \prime} \)  pizza. How many more square inches of pizza did Mark eat than Jane? Express your answer as a common fraction in terms of \(\pi\).

Tell me if this is correct!

10 1/2 pi. Just tell me if it's correct, then I'll provide a solution.

Area of  3 slices  of 12 in diameter  =  6 in radius pizza  =

(3/8) pi (6)^2    (1)

Area  of 3 slices of 16 in = 8 in radius pizza  =

(3/8) pi (8)^2     (2)

(2)  - (1)  =

(3/8) pi  [ 8^2 - 6^2 ] =

(3/8) pi [ 64 - 36 ] =

(3/8) pi [ 28]  =

(3 * 28 ) / 8  pi  =

[ 3 * 7 ) / 2  pi  =

(21/2) pi   in^2

Your answer is the same  !!!!
