I need to find the vertex of a quadratic function, I understand for the x point it is -b/2a. However, I dont know how to find the y point. Please help ASAP.

As for your question, the best way is to plug in -b/(2a) into x.
For example, if I have the parabola x^2 + 8x + 16, you already know the x coordinate is -4. (-b/(2a))
Knowing the x, we can plug that in to find the y.
(-4)^2 + 8(-4) + 16 = 0
So our y coordinate is 0.
