Can someone explain to me how to do inverse functions
Like is there a formula for turning a function into an inverse function
here is one that i cant make sense of
4(x+3) − 5
y= 4x+12-5 = 4x + 7 change the x to y and the y to x of the original function then solve for y
y = 4x+7 switch the x 's and y 's
x = 4y+ 7 now solve for y
x-7 = 4y
y = (x-7)/4 this is the inverse
