A particular number written in base 3 requires three digits. When the number is written in base 3 and 4, the digits are the reverse of each other. What is this number expressed in base 10?

Base 3.  211.  In base 10 this is 2*32+1*3+1 = 22

Base 4.  112.  In base 10 this is 1*42+1*4+2 = 22

If we can limit the cables that we must try, then the question becomes much easier. Think of a way to limit the values that we must try and better relate the 'unknown' properties (an equation).
