how do i rewrite this equation without fractions?

Yes for addition or subtraction.

BUT only if there are just numbers on the bottom - you have to be more careful if there are pronumerals (letters)

 

Multiply both sides of the equation but the smallest common denominator. 

 

2/3x +4=2/5

 

\(\frac{2}{3}x+4=\frac{2}{5}\\ \frac{2x}{3}+4=\frac{2}{5}\\ \text{The lowest common denominator is 3*5=15}\\ 15[\frac{2x}{3}+4]=15*\frac{2}{5}\\ [\frac{15*2x}{3}+15*4]=\frac{15*2}{5}\\ \frac{5*2x}{1}+60=\frac{3*2}{1}\\ 10x+60=6 \)
