If \(z\) is twice \(x\) , then what is \(5x+10+z-10+2z\) in terms of \(x\) ?

If you simplify the question then you will get 11x. 

 

Z=2x

Write the problem out and then substitute the z for 2x. 

5x +10+z-10+2z

5x + 10+ 2x-10 +4x

The two tens cancel out cause their negative and positive.

5x +2x+4x

Add the the variables 

11x is your answer
