Each diagonal is the same length...and each forms the HYPOTENUSE of a right triangle with leg lengths 2.3 and 5.6 ft

use Pythagorean Theorem:    c = hypotenuse    a and b are the legs

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

c^2 = 2.32 + 5.62

c = diagonal = 6.1 ft
