If the points are equidistant from A and B, then it must be on their perpendicular bisector. The midpoint of AB is (.5,-2) and the slope is 4/3. That means the slope of the bisector is -3/4 and must contain (.5,-2). That gives us the equation is y=-3/4x-13/8. Therefore the y intercept is -13/8.
