the screenshot below is from melody , i am reposting this because I have some more questions, however the post is closed.Want to say thank you again to meldoy for helping me ! you have been such a big help.

If melody or anyone who is online can help me answer a few more questions?

The AU i need to use is 1.5 x 10^8 , with that being said, since it is in km wouldnt i need to convert all the values of m from the sun into km? so i can then divide them out by the 1.5 x 10^8 ? to create the linear scale

Don't know if this helps....but....here's what I did, Jenny.....

I took the log  of each AU  and plotted these values

For a couple of examples

Mercury - .386 AU ⇒  log (.386)  ≈ -.413

Earth -  1 AU   ⇒ log (1)  =  0

Neptune - 39.5 AU  ⇒ log (39.5) ≈  1.59

Wolf 359 - 492000 ⇒ log (492000) ≈  5.69

Here is the pic :

Yes, to convert the meter  distnces to AU distances you would need to divide them by 1.5 x 1011 m (which is the AU value in meters ).....the as Cphil shows below, a logarithmic scale would be best to show them on a graph....
