567 m   / (756 m / 12 hr   ) =     567 * 12/756   hr = .........

using distance = rate * time, i used the information in the question to set up this equation: 756 = 12 * rate

 

then, dividing both sides of the equation, i got Salma's rate, which is 756/12 = 63 miles per hour.

 

now, plugging some more thing into the distance = rate * time rule: 567 = 63 * time

 

so, we can conclude that it will take Salma 567/63, or 9 hours to drive 567 miles.

63*567=35721 min
