An ice cream cone costs 1.60 each. Each customer is entitled to buy another two at a discount of 0.30 off the orignal price each after buying three. Find the maximum number of ice cream cones Owen can buy with 24 and the amount of money he will have in the end after buying the ice cream cones.

5*1.60=8 (this is the number of dollars he spent, if there were no discounts at all)

2*0.30=0.60 (number of dollars the discount saved him)

8-0.60=7.40 (number of dollars after he has after he applied the discount)

(24)/(7.40)=3 remainder 1.80

1.80/1.60=1 remainder 0.20

5*3+1=16 ice cream cones
