8x - 3y ≤  -12

Let's   get a couple of solutions to this equation, first

8x  - 3y  = -12

Let x  =0      so  ... 8(0)  -3y  = -12  →  -3y = -12  →  y  =4    so we have the point  (0,4)

Now...let y  = 0     and we have    8x - 3(0)  = -12   →   8x  = -12   [divide both sides by 8]   →     x  = -12/8  = -3/2

So....we have the second point,   (-3/2 , 0)

Plot these points on a graph   and draw a  solid line through them  [ implied by the  "  ≤ "  ]

Now.......pick a point on either side of the line  - I'll choose (0,0)  -    and put it in the original equation....if this point makes the equation true.....shade  the side of the line that includes (0,0)....if  (0,0)  malkes the original equation false.....shade the other side of the line....so

Testing (0,0)  we have

8(0)  - 3(0)   ≤  -12    ???

0  ≤  -12   ???

This is false....so shade the other side

Your graph should look like this :   https://www.desmos.com/calculator/we4cvh0v41

Note that (0,0)  is not include in the solution area  !!!!
