How Is 10*4/6=6.66666667

There is two ways you can prove this:

 

1. You can prove it using decimals

6.66666667 ~= 6.6666 so,

10*.6666 = 6.6666

6.666 = 6.666  

 

2. You can prove it using fractions

10/1*4/6 = 6  2/3

10/1*2/3 = 6  2/3

20/3 = 6  2/3

20/30 = 20/30 

 

Using fractions probably gives you a better visual.

10*4 = 40

40/6 = 20/3  = 6+2/3 =  6.6666.......
