I'm not certain of what those numbers in the bottom represent. I'm guessing they are different values that 2(x+3) equals. So we can solve for those values.

2(x+3)=10     First distribute the 2 to the contents of the parenthesis

2x+6=10       Subtract 6 from the other side

2x=4            Divide by 2

x=2

 

For the rest of the values, follow the same procedure.

2(x+3)= 1,135,143

x= 567,568.5

 

2(x+3)=2,132,132 

x= 1,066,063

 

2(x+3)=1,321

x= 657.5

I don't know what's up with the numbers at the bottom, but I'll do the title equation.

 

Distribute 2 to the (x+3)

 

1: (2*x) + (2*3) = 10

2: 2x + 6 = 10

 

Subtract 6 from both sides.

 

3: 2x + [6-6] = [10-6]

4: 2x + 0 = 4

5: 2x = 4

 

To isolate 'x', divide both sides by 2

 

6: 2x/2 = 4/2

7: x=2

 

That is your answer.
