I'm trying to compute 1.45E-03e^0.0207x = y into my calculator, where x = 10, but I keep on getting an ERROR message.

I cumputed it as so: 1.45E-03e^(0.0207(10)).

However, when I compute the same equation the same way into a calculator provided by the Google search bar, it shoots out 0.25156093592 as an answer.

Why is that so?

1.45E-3 x e^(0.0207) x 10  =

0.00145   x   1.02091573097....  x   10  =

=  0.0148032780991 - This is the correct answer.

I would also recommend https://www.symbolab.com/solver/algebra-calculator as a better calculator than whichever one you used.

Thanks guest.

That is an interesting calculation site.

I do not think it is necessary for thei question. Many calcs, including the web2 calc witll do it easily.

But it certainly looks like a calc site that could be worth bookmarking.

I will do it by copying and pasting it into the web2calc   (the one on this site)

1.45E-03e^0.0207x     where x=10

I am not actually sure of the convention as to the meaning. That is why I think brackets shoulr be used (conventions can be confusing.)

So I have done it with both interpretations.

1.45E-03e^0.0207*10 = 0.0148032780991003017

1.45E-03e^(0.0207*10) = 0.001783474729082091415
