You will need to know the approximate miles per gallon of that car and the cost per gallon of the gas.

You can calculate the cost by taking the (number of miles you want to travel) and dividing this by the (number of miles per gallon that you get in your car) and multiplying that answer by the (cost per gallon of gas).

For instance, if you want to travel 310 miles and you car gets 28 miles per gallon and gas cost $3.10 per gallon, the calculation is:  310 ÷ 28 x 3.10  =  $34.32 (approximately).
