When performing multipaction of decimal numbers you multiply it like a regular number but it is easier when multiplying by tens you count how many zero's are in the factor then carry the decimal point to the right many times.

 

\(0.444444\times10\)

 

In this case we only have to move it once to the right 

 

so then we have 

 

\(0.4444444\times10 = 4.44444\)

 

so are product is 4.44444
