I really suck at math...

Solve each Inequality:

-4(3x-5)>-28

A.x<4

B.x<-1/4

C.x>4

D.x>-1/4

And could you explain how you did it so I finish my homework?  Thanks.

Ohh that makes much more sense! You're good at explaining than my math teacher. Now I can finish the rest!

-4(3x - 5) > -28

Use the distributive law on the left side:

(-4)(3x) - (-4)(5) > -28

-12x + 20 > -28

Subtract 20 from both sides:

-12x > -48

Divide both sides by -12:

(When you multiply or divide both sides of an inequality by a negative number, you must change the direction of the inequality; you don't change the direction if you are adding or subtracting or if you are multiplying or dividing by a positive number.)

x < 4
