tan(31) = 14/x

x*tan(31) = 14

x = 14 / tan(31)

I think you could have probably managed that if you had thought about it.

well tan31=14/x
multiply both sides by x to make x the subject.
=>tan31*x=14/x*x
=>tan31x=14
i'm sure you can get x from that but if you can't just let me know.
