Luis has 4 fish. 1 is 7 and 1/4 inches, 2 is 6.5 inches, 3 is 7 and 1/2 inches, and 4 is 7.75 inches. what is the average length of Luis's fish?

7 1/4 inches (if they haven't grown since you asked the question)

You have to add up the 4 lengths and then divide by 4 to get the average.
