Tau is an easier method to find the circumfrence of a circle. It uses the radius, rather than the diamater. A (basic) equation in Pi would be (3*2)*pi=18.8495559215387594, but using tau, it would be 3*tau=18.8495559215387594. This simplifies it if you know the radius, and aids in more complex computations. Tau is approx. 6.28318530718/
Stop being so lazy, just do what Geno says, and type or enter (2π). IF AM is going to add something to this "calculator", I seriously doubt it will be that. GMAFB
He did add a fraction "button" awhile back, but that was for kids who don't know how to b**w their nose properly.
Anyone who can understand the relationship of Tau and Pi does not need a button for it.
No one has ever asked: "Where is the Tau button on this calculator?"
This calculator could use a nose-blowing button, though. That is a button we could really use! That way, it will be done properly.
Oh wait! I spoke too soon. Just type in "kerchief". Yep, there is a hand-kerchief but no hand-Tau. Oh well, just use your shirt sleeve.
