How do I multiply and simplify scientific noatation?

I'll show you with an example

5.3*10 12 * 6.9*10 -7

= 5.3*6.9*10 12 *10 -7

= 36.57 * 10 (12+-7)

= 3.657 * 10 1* 10 5

= 3.657 * 10 6

OR, you could just do it on your calcuator.
