To solve:  y + 1  =  (1/2)(x + 2),

you could just subtract 1 from both sides --->   y  =  (1/2)(x + 2) - 1

To simplify this:  --->   y  =  0.5x + 1 - 1

                         --->   y  =  0.5x

So we will do this like !

y +1 = 1/2(x+2)

now first we will multiply 2 by x and 2

Y + 1 = 1/2x + 4

now we will cross multiply this!

(y+1)(2x+4)=1

now we will multiply these  too!

2xy + 4y + 2x + 4 = 1

now thats how I solved it! Lets see what answer do our other friends come up with!
