The ordered pair (3, -1) is a solution of 5y + 2x = 1. Which of the following is true

a)  x-Coordinate = 2, y-Coordinate = 1
b)  x-Coordinate = 5, y-Coordinate = 2
c)  x-Coordinate = 3, y-Coordinate = -1
d)  x-Coordinate = -1, y-Coordinate = 3

Try (2,1)      left hand side = 5*2+2*1=10+2=12   That does not equal 1      So that is not right.

you have to try each ot the others in the same way and see which left hand side will equal 1

You can finish it yourself.
