This is one of the questions on my Homework... x(6+5)=3+(x-13). I don't understand.

x(6 + 5)  =  3 + (x - 13)

=>  x(11)  = 3 + x - 13

=>  11x  = x - 10

=>  10x  =  -10

=>  x  =  -1
