what is 1/4 in a decimal?

Like ive said before on a similar question. To get the decimal value of something such as 1/3 , 1/4 , 1/3434

etc.... Just divide your numerator by your denominator. For example  $${\frac{{\mathtt{1}}}{{\mathtt{2\,323}}}} = {\mathtt{0.000\: \!430\: \!477\: \!830\: \!391\: \!7}}$$

One divided by 2323 equals 0.0004304778303917

1/4  is  one fourth

    one fourth  is  a quarter

       a quarter  is  25 cents

            25 cents  is  0.25

So,  1/4  is  0.25 ...

or, enter  1/4  into the calculator and press  <ENTER>

1/4=0.25
