When will the dependent variable in the equation y=sqrt x+4-3 equal or exceed 4???

y = sqrt(x+4) - 3

 

sqrt(x+4) - 3 4

⇔ sqrt(x+4) 7

x+4 ≥ 49

x 45

B.   √(45 +4) - 3 = √49 - 3  =  7 - 3  = 4.

C. and D. will result in √(x +4) - 3 > 4

A. will result in √(x +4) - 3 < 4
