Yes, but unfortunately you forgot part of the equation.  If you put x = 6 in the left-hand side you get 6(6+6) which is 6*12, which is not 36. The equation isn't one which factors nicely!  

Good try, but always check your answer by plugging it back into the original equation!

its six because the missing x to equal 36 will be 6 6x6=36
