yes that what I am asking if tuition is 2800 and 3/7 of the loan was obtained how much was the loan? Please show me how you got the answer. thank you

If the total tuition is $2800.00 and the loan was for 3/7 of the total tuition,

you can translate "3/7 of the total tuition" into math this way:  'of' becomes 'times' and 'the total tuition' is $2800:   3/7 x $2800.  Use the calculator to multiply 3/7 times 2800.

Or, am I completely misunderstanding you?
