2. Light traveling through air (n = 1.003) hits the surface of water (n = 1.33) with an incident angle of 30º. What is the refracted angle?

sin(angle of incidence) / sin(angle of refraction)  =  1.33

--->  sin( 30 ) / sin ( X ) = 1.33

--->  sin( 30 )  =  1.33 x sin( X )

--->  sin( 30 ) / 1.33  =  sin( X )

--->  0.665  =  sin( X)

--->  X  =  invSin( 0.665 )

--->  X  =  41.7°
