Here is something to help you apply it.

I'm not upto learning this, and someone will advice you when they're online. But this is a start.

http://web2.0calc.com/questions/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8599 <-- highlight and right click goto.

There is also calculators for the rules to solve for equilateral, oblique and right angled triangles here:

Hi Emerald,
Firstly this is Trigonometry (not calculus)
There are a lot of good you tubes and web sites out there to help you learn and if you are self learning then I'll be happy to help you find a suitable one/s.

If you have a teacher and a text book then the best thing to do is just let them direct you.
If you have specific problems, we in the forum, will be very happy to talk you through them.
It is always difficult when new concepts are presented. You just have to work through it until the light comes on.

Hi Stu,
How did you embed the web page like that?
I haven't seen the maths portal pages before. They look really good. Thanks Stu.
Thanks Melody.
