How do you find the area of a similar figure when you have both volumes?

I guess you mean surface area.

 

Let Vand V2 be the volumes of the similar figures respectively.

Let A1 and A2 be the surface areas of the similar figures respectively.

 

V1V2=(scale factor)3=(length of a side of V1length of a side of V2)3

A1A2=(scale factor)2=(length of a side of V1length of a side of V2)2

(V1V2)2=(A1A2)3
