A line with an undefined slope is a vertical line having the equation..... x = {the x coordinate of any point on that line}

For example a line through (3, 5) with an undefined slope.....

x = 3

You won't get a specific, definite answer, but you can get this:

Using the point-slope form for a line:  y - y1  =  m(x - x1)

--->  y - 5  =  m(x - 3)

--->  y - 5  =  mx - 3m

--->  y  =  mx  - 3m + 5

--->  -mx + y  =  -3m + 5

--->  (-m)x + y  =  -3m + 5

which is standard form with an unknown value for m.

I'm doing this work for an online class, and my answer thing is using a drag and drop system for this question, and there's no variable I can use for m. I don't know what to do

Sorry, I can't picture what the answer would/should be.

I like Geno's answer too Chris.

I think the question can be interpreted either way.
