How do you solve : -9-9(9+3x) Negative nine minus negative nine parenthesis, positive nine plus three x.

I know the answer is -4 because my teacher told me, but I don't know how to solve it. It's urgent! I need it by tomorrow!!!

This isn't an equation; I think that you forgot part of the problem

You would solve it like this: Since we don't know the value of X, we leave the parenthesis alone. We then go to what's outside the parenthesis- -9-9. This would be -18. Then we can open the parenthesis and take the positive 9 out and add it to the -18 making it -9. Then we add 3x to all this and make it -9+3x. We cannot add this because the x after the 3. If it was -9x + 3x we could add it for -6
