What is the reference angle of 1000 degrees?

1000 degrees = 720 degrees + 280 degrees

So, 1000 degrees is two full rotations plus 280 degrees

And 280 degrees is an 80 degree reference angle in the 4th quadrant.

From 1000° keep subtracting 360° until you get an answer in the range:  0° ≤ angle < 360°.
