When I try to calculate 0,4444444^2008 it says that it is equal 0. But this is not true is it? Shouldn't it be 0,loads of zeros and then some value? Everytime 0,4444444 is multiplied by itself it decreases, but it shouldn't be able to actually hit 0 should it? Maybe I'm missing something.

The answer is not exactly 0, but it is so small that the calculator can no longer print it.

For example by the time it calculates 0.4444444 ^ 300, the answer has more than 100 zeros right after the decimal point. The calculator isn't programmed to have numbers that small, even when written in scientific notation. Instead, it rounds off the answer, as best it can, to zero.
