Guys, look at these guidelines: https://web2.0calc.com/questions/some-guidlines-for-question-askers
I think everyone on this site who asks a question should in fact show what they have tried. This is not a website to magically get an answer for your AoPS homework or for some other homework, and then to put it in and be done. It's a site for those who are confused and want to learn. Plus, spamming all your homework questions here won't help anyone, there aren't enough people willing to help answer every single question. Please think through some of the questions you guys ask. I'm not trying to target anyone specifically, but some of the questions some people ask are very easy to solve, espicially compared to some other questions the same people ask.
Think about it this way: what's the point of asking all your homework questions? You definitly don't learn anything without trying and struggling. If there is a question you geniunly don't know how to solve, and are curious in learning, sure, go ahead and ask about it. But the vibes I get from multiple people just spamming questions (that are probably homework, I know from experience) really makes it sad. If you don't have a passion for math, you shouldn't be doing these math problems in the first place. If you do have a passion for math, then use that passion and learn.
Most of these questions that are being asked are competition questions too. If you want to do math competitions like AMCs, and AIME, you need to learn and struggle. Just copying and pasting answers without learning certainly isn't helping you, and it's also a waste of the money spent on classes, textbooks, etc.
To any of the amazing people that answer questions, I encourage you all to purposly make some mistakes in your answer, so that the reader can think through the problem, solve it, and learn.
P.S. Where did Melody go? I came back to this site after 4-5 years, and everyone's gone. Glad you're still here CPhill, really helped me learn a lot. Came back to answer questions for fun :)
Also, I wish there was a comment/reply section to questions. Would make it easier to give out hints without needing to post a new answer everytime.
