m = slope = 3.

All you have to do is plug it in (make sure to keep track of negatives).

To solve for x, you just have to use the arcsin or sin^-1 or sin inverse.

We are given the are and width, so all we have to do is plug those values into the equation A = L X W and solve for L.

L = A/W [divide both sides by W]

L = 75 m^2 / 50 cm

Note, we have to convert 50 cm to meters: 1 cm is 1/100 of a meter so 50 cm would be 0.5 m (move the decimal place two times to the left).

L = 75 m^2 / 0.5 m

You can solve it now.

For percents, we can get rid of the % and place the number over 100:

32% --> 32/100.

Now, you can reduce this fraction by finding the greatest common factor or simply by dividing by 2's each time since both the numerator and denominator are even:

32/100 --> ?

Just divide 0.10 by 3.5 and you will end up with units of cm.
