Very nice geno......I'm glad we have some people who can handle probability questions....I can do a few, but generally, it's not my strongpoint (if I even have one !!!)...........

The point (6,5) doesn't lie on this line.......are they asking you to write an equation of a parallel (or perpendicular) line using this point ???

Interest =  P(1 + r/n)^nt  -  P 

Where P is the amount borrowed, $10,400 .......r is the annual interest rate (we must divide this by 2 because the interest is being compounded semi-annually...12.7% / 2 = 6.35% = .0635 ......n is the number of compoundings per year = 2, and t is the number of years = 4......so we have

I = 10400(1 + .0635)^2*4  - 10400 =

I = 10400(1.0635)⁸  - 10400 = $6618.97

Yep....."a" is correct......(this is a tough one to interpret)

The " product of 6 and x" = 6x   (product means "multiply')

So......(x less this product) =

x - 6x

Assuming you have a linear equation, just let x = 0 in the equation.......this will give you the y intercept !!!

(Or.....you can solve for "y" to get the y intercept)

Let the number  = x

So 7 increased by a number = 7 + x

And the difference berween the number and 2 = (x - 2)   ...so twice this difference  = 2(x - 2)

And these two things added together =

(7 + x) + 2(x - 2)

So 'b" is the correct answer

(1,700,000 x 1/10)km²  = 170,000km²

16+5*w=31     subtract 16 from both sides

5*w = 15         divide both sides by 5

w = 15/5  = 3
