 2x^2 = -2y^2 + 12x - 4y + 28

To  make  things easier,  divide  through  by 2  and rearrange  as 

x^2  - 6x  +  y^2 + 2y  =  14         complete  the  square on  x and  y

x^2  -  6x  +  9  +  y^2 + 2y  + 1  =   14  + 9  +  1

(x - 3)^2   +  (y + 1)^2  =   24

The  radius  =  sqrt (24)   and  the diameter     =   the side of the  square  =  2sqrt (24)

So.....the   area of the square =  (2sqrt 24)^2   =  4 * 24   =  96  units^2 

Continuous compounding  formula

A = P * e^(r * t)

7130.90    =  5000 * e^( r * 5)

(7130.90  /  5000)  =  e^( 5r)       take the  Ln  of  both  sides

Ln  ( 7130.90  / 5000)  = Ln e^(5r)       and we  can write

Ln ( 7130.90  / 5000) =  5r

Ln (7130.90 / 5000)   / 5   = r  ≈  7.1%

We can  use  a proportion

6pi   /   [ (2/5)pi ]    =   C   / / [2pi]     simplify

(6)  /( 2/5)  =  C  /  [ 2pi ]

15  * 2pi  =  C

If AC    = 49.5 cm......the  the  side of the square  is   49.5 / sqrt 2 cm  ≈  35 cm

Since PB  = PC......then triangle PBC is isoceles  and its height  can  be  found  as

408.33 =  (1/2) BC  * height

Let  A  =   (0, 35)

So  PA =    sqrt    [ ( 11.67 - 0 )^2  +  ( 35  -17.5)^2   ]   ≈   21 cm

Set  the equations  equal

x^3  - x^2  + x + 1  =  x^3 + x^2 + x + 1

Subtracting out common terms  we  get

-x^2   =  x^2          rearrange  as

x^2  + x^2   =  0

2x^2  =  0

x^2  =  0

x =  0

And putting  this value  into either equation  we get  that  y  =  1

So.....intersection pt =  (0, 1)

OK.....!!!

Note  that  (5,4)  is on  f(x)

So..the  inverse reverses  the  co-ordinates......so ...the point  (4,5)  is on the  inverse....so
