This is an AoPS question and you’ve not demonstrated any solution method for your answer.
Why the opposition to linking to other questions? Did the swill from jollyjellyjojo nauseate you?
According to him, the official answer from AoPS is (1/4). With a name like jollyjellyjojo how could you go wrong?
My solution is in this link. https://web2.0calc.com/questions/another-one-thanks
(The nauseating swill from jollyjellyjojo is also in this link, so you may want to take a double dose of scopolamine)
I demonstrate that repeating Grogg’s process produces a binomial distribution.
It’s unclear (to me) of how MaxWong and Rom arrived at (1/8). Melody’s answer is here: https://web2.0calc.com/questions/help_47515 She makes a clear assumption in her solution that 50% of the numbers are randomly colored blue. They are all excellent mathematicians, so ...
I’ve not changed my position that the verbs in this question present a binomial selection process, not a uniform random selection process. So it would seem this is a question of semantics: one of how to translate the verbs of English into mathematics.
You have three choices: (1/8), (1/4), and (1/3). Just pick your semantics and your number.

Actually, Tommarvoloriddle, I thought you were transgender.... Sorry!
My name is Ginger Alexandra, and it annoys me too, when someone thinks I’m a boy. No one ever thinks that when seeing me in person, but on line, even using my name, Ginger, it’s rather common in academic circles (not in social circles). I suppose it’s mainly because of my logical, active-voice, writing style. I can see that my acerbic commentaries and trolling might compel the perception of a bitch, and sometimes a “boy bitch.”
Naturally, some think of me as a troll, a chimp, and, of course, a soda. I certainly identify with the troll and chimp, and I like the soda. If you would care to read it, this post briefly explains the origins of my chimphood. https://web2.0calc.com/questions/projectile-problem#r9
This post is the first of a few main-thread posts that critique my trollhood and my troll posts, on this forum. (I have a few fans LOL) https://web2.0calc.com/questions/there-is-a-monster
I wasn’t being a troll when I said you remind me of “me self.” You do. Though I was never a “teacher’s pet” (but a few wanted to send me to the zoo), nor did I ever make straight “A” grades –not until I went to university, anyway.
Take care, Tommarvoloriddle.

I know why the guest knew what they meant. The guest is Mr. BB, the same one who posted the question. Mr. BB often uses unconventional math terminology and symbols.
I have to say Mr. BB, that’s an optimal method for improving your answering speed, not forgetting your accuracy. You are much less likely to fuck up the answers when you cherry pick and post your own questions. Of course, you’d know what your own chicken scratch (and crap) means.
Even with your cherry-picking, you still manage to bugger the answers.
