On the site calculator (and most other calculators as well) press "2nd" then the regular sin, cos, and tan buttons.

For example, if you wanted the arcsin of 1/2, you would enter "2nd", "sin" and 1/2.

Another way would be to enter "asin(1/2)" into the site calculator.

Because 2³ = 8, log₂8 = 3

The logarithmic form is the inverse form of the exponent.

So the measures of supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees. Knowing this, we can set up a system of equations:

First, let:

m∠T = t

m∠S = s

t = 3s

t + s = 180

Substitute 3s for t in the second equation:

3s + s = 180

4s = 180

s = 45

So m∠S = 45 degrees.

Now, plug 45 back into the first equation:

t = 3s

t = 3(45)

t = 135

So m∠T = 135 degrees. :)

For this problem, you would use trigonometry. 

First draw a diagram for the problem; you should have a right triangle with the guy wire as the hypotenuse, 75m as the height (opposite side), and 65 degrees as the angle of the guy wire to the ground (hypotenuse to adjacent side). 

Now use the fact that the sine of an angle in a right triangle is its opposite side divided by its hypotenuse. 

So for this problem: 

Let x = the length of the guy wire. 

sin(65) = 75/ x 

sin(65) * x = 75

75/sin(65) = x

Grade in this context is like the slope of the road, its steepness, if you will:)

The grade of 28.4% would mean an incline/decline of 28.4 feet for every 100 feet traveled on the road.

An equation written in slope-intercept form would have the form $${\mathtt{y}} = {\mathtt{mx}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{b}}$$ where y and x are variables and m and b are numbers.

An equation in standard form would be: $${\mathtt{ax}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{by}} = {\mathtt{c}}$$ where y and x are still variables, and a, b, and c are integers.

So now you would need to make the x and y variables on the same side of the equation, with all the constants (numbers without variables) one the other side.

Say for example you have this equation in slope-intercept form:

y = $${\frac{{\mathtt{3}}}{{\mathtt{4}}}}$$ x + 2

You can subtract y from both sides to get x and y on the same side of the equation:

3/4x - y + 2 = 0

Now isolate the 2:

3/4x - y = -2

But since a,b, and c, must be integers, you would need to multiply all terms by the least common denominator of the fraction(s) in the equation. In this case, it is 4:

Standard form: 3x - 4y = -8

(1/8) ÷ 4

= (1/8) ÷ (4/1)

Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal:

= (1/8) * (1/4)

= (1*1)/(8*4)

= 1/32

On the website calculator, click on the word "Scientific" (on the right of the answer box).

Choose "Equations" from the drop-down menu that will appear. The calculator should now show the words "Equation Solver."

Then click on the button "1 variable, 1 equation" and change it to however many equations are in your system of equations. (I believe the maximum is 6, at least if you input equations in this way.)

Then, after you have typed in the equations, click "Enter" and the answers should pop up:)

Alternate way:

Type in "solve("

Then type in all your equations in the system.

Close the parentheses and click "Enter"

Using this method you can have more than 6 equations in one system.
