so we will do this like
5 1/6 - 2 5/6 (first we shall change both the mixed frations into improper fractions)
(so to do that we will multiply the whole number by its denominator and then add the numerator to the answer for example lets take 5 1/6 so 6*5 + 1 = 31/6 )
= 31/6 - 17/6 ( so now out here as we already have the same denominators we shall not do anything to get the same denomiators and just subtract simply)
= 31-17/6 (now subtact)
= 14/6 ( and now we shall convert this to mixed form so for that first we will divide 14 by 6 and then we het the remainder 2 by this anhd so that remainder would be used as a numerator and the quotient would be used as the whole number)
= 2 2/6 ANSWER
or we may also get our answer i decimal form , i hope u can do that your self!
